I was expecting a normal sized pocket book........but this is like a phone book. Very tiny print across a very large page. Have to use a sheet of paper under the line I'm reading so I don't loose my place when dropping down to the next line. Extremely detailed and a complete translation of the Vedas.

This volume has an immense amount of translated information. The type print is small, but if it gets this amount of information in one book versus 2-3, I'll take the small print. This is a daily read for me.

I am not a big fan of this book, because the inner meaning of the vedic sanskrit is not highlighted but the literal meaning is. Some sentences mean is completely incorrect with the english words used

If you're interested in reading the Vedas and want all of it in a single volume, then this is probably the way to go. I've seen some reviews complain about text size, but when it arrived I was expecting it to be harder to read based on the reviews I had read. Sure, the font is small, but it's legible. My only complaint and the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that if you wish to have an index, you have to purchase a separate book, for about the same price.

I just recently read "Between the Lines" and I was very pleased with how easy it was to read along with how useful the material was in the book. The author is very detailed, so you do not have to be a sports psychologist to understand the content. One of my favorite topics the author covered was the difference between a "Hit" and a "Quality at Bat." Too many times hitters feel their at bat was a failure just because it wasn't recorded as a "hit" in the book. "Between the Lines" helped me to realize that a solid hit that the defense makes a good play on is still a good quality at bat. If hitters take that approach (quality at bats over hits) then their confidence will be higher, leading to more hits.I have been an avid softball player for over 15 years, and a coach for six. I wish I would have read this book when I was player, but now that I have as a coach, I make all my players read it! I really have seen great improvements, especially from my players who tend to lose confidence in their abilities easily.

I liked the "refrain" that is repeated throughout the book "he walked and walked - and sometimes ran- because he wanted to see Jesus". Obviously we don't know exactly how he got to Cana or what he was thinking, but this is an accurate idea of what I'd be doing! My kids really liked this story. One of them said it was "Amazing" and another said she liked the illustrations. The illustrations are bright and cartoon-y. I like how the text isn't all the same but is scattered across the pages to best fit with the illustrations and story.I would recommend this book to all with children in their lives.I received a complimentary copy of "The One O'Clock Miracle" in exchange for reviewing and participating in a blog hop about it. As a parent, disciple-maker, children's ministry director and lover of great children's literature, I am so excited that books like this exist. While the clever writing and beautiful illustration would hold their own among today's secular books in this genre, it is a 'true to the text' bible story that is gospel centered and sets you up for great conversations. I purchased it to present this Bible story to pre-schoolers at church, but my own 9 and 6 year olds liked it so much that I will be getting another copy for home. All ages of kids (3-9) and myself have been completely engaged and LOVED this book!

I am so excited to own this book. I read it to my kids tonight for the first time, and both the 3yo and 9yo paid attention. My 3yo was so excited to learn more about Jesus! The book is beautifully illustrated and makes Bible truths exciting for children. I am going to buy every book in this series.

It goes overboard with dragging out this Bible story unnecessarily. It is puzzling why the father is struggling to carry a bundle bigger than himself, when he is in such a hurry to find Jesus to come and heal his son.

I have been a parent of children for almost seven years, throughout this time I have search high and low for high quality children's books that teach a true gospel geared towards children instead of the constant moralism so common in Christian circles. Now granted from time to time my kids will watch or read something and I take that opportunity to explain to them why that is not why Jesus came to earth. But rarely have I found a book that I would feel comfortable with my young children (those that can read) reading on their own without me there to explain the problems with it. I can count on my hand the books that have done this, books like the The Jesus Storybook Bible. The One O'Clock Miracle is a fine book that tells the story of the royal official's son being healed from John 4. This book teaches clearly that Jesus is God's son, and that He is the way to life. Which is awesome! It also skips the traditional "be good" message of so many children's books and instead offers up the one who is good! The art work is playful and it is an enjoyable and quick read (Which can be really nice when it is late and you have to read to kids who should already be in bed).Recommended!

I have been watching the free streaming video series of ‘Broken Brain’. At first, it was quite enlightening and made a lot of sense, however, I am a vegan and will never change my views on an animal-free diet. Dr. Hyman suggests eating cholesterol, and animal meat. Of course he states eating range free, homone free, mercury free fish and meat. Well, good luck. Not much of that around.However, my point is the series should include those of us who are vegan/green diet people.....and these people are increasing in numbers. They could have at least had one video stating what vegans should do to have a healthy brain. It’s evident that Dr. Hyman does not believe in this way of eating, so that disappoints me. He should be open to those of us who do not partake in animal products, whether it be for health, religious beliefs or for the environment. He has not included us, and for that I will not purchase the series, nor partake in his vitamin sales.

This book explains mental illness in a way that is easy to understand. However, I also like to read books that SHOW what mental illness is. I suggest the book: MY LAST REMAINS by Jill.This is a nonfiction account of a girl who was raised by mentally ill parents. The books shows mental illness in a way that text books dont. It also shows what happens to the children of the mentally ill. The author uses her first name only, and the book is also available on amazon.

Easy to play for beginners and many favorites you'll enjoy. I must be reliving my youth ! It is fun to play these songs - they are listed without standard music notation - just verses and chords over words when you change chords. Short music melody notation, then all chords needed listed up front, so you can tell what chords you need to practice before playing song. I like it, and I'm a beginner.

I have been a PP&M fan since I saw them live in concert in 1966 at Miami University in Ohio. Over the years I have learned and performed many of the songs in this book and still play them today. My only objection is that it is perhaps physically much smaller that I expected which makes it more difficult to keep open on the music stand without spring clips. Great collection but no notation is included. Chords and lyrics only in this publication.

When I buy a songbook, I expect it to have sheet music in it not just chords, if I wanted just chords I would have used a free online site to find the song. Like one of the other reviews was also shocked that it was so small. Still have all the packaging and will probably return the book, highly disappointed since it has some of their best known songs in it.

The book is smaller than I imagined. The formatting of the print is poor, in my opinion. A lot of unused white space on each page means lots of page turning when playing as there are only a few lines on each page. Lots of page turning is not what you want when playing guitar.

As a beginner, learning the guitar for fun at 64 years old, I found this book to be difficult. I enjoy their music so that is why I bought it. Limited information and very difficult cords for a beginner. A more accomplished guitarist would probably find it to their liking.

Not easy to use as book so small

This is a small size book....almost pocket size! That should have been included in the description of this product. Very hard to work with.Would have ordered a different standard size book if we had known!Very disappointed.

Thought it was going to be standard-sized music book. It's smaller than a quality paperback and a bit bigger than pocket-sized. Unless I want to break the spine, book won't stay open in order to play. Also, if you don't know the songs, this book won't help. Only gives chords above the words. Oh, well.
