Overall the book was great. Loved the pros and cons when rating the Hotels & Casinos. You gave a lot of information about the Grand Canyon. It almost seemed like you should devote a book to it. I understand that it would be almost impossible to cover everything, but other Hotels and Casinos outside of The Strip and Downtown Las Vegas deserve a little more space in your book as do some more of the off property restaurants. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a more in-dept look at Vegas the first or next time they travel to Sin City.

The book looked very informative but the font is tiny and hard to read. I'm going to order the Kindle version so that I can control the size of the font.

Great Book as a companion book to Las Vegas 2017

I was expecting a Fodor's guide to be beefy with information. The fact that this one is slim was a bit of a disappointment considering the company's reputation.

Did lots of things from the book. Especially liked hiking Mt.Charleston. Worth the money.

Great guide, very useful and practical info. Made our week in Las Vegas very delightful and helped us save lots of time.

Harold Hongju Koh is Sterling Professor of International Law, former Dean (2004-09) and co-founder of the Rule of Law Clinic at Yale Law School, where he has taught since 1985. He served as Legal Adviser, U.S. Department of State from 2009-13; Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor from 1998-2001; and Attorney-Adviser, Office of Legal Counsel, U.S. Department of Justice, from 1983-85. He has testified regularly before Congress and has argued at the U.S. Supreme Court, the International Court of Justice and many other domestic and international courts. He has received seventeen honorary degrees, more than thirty human rights awards, and the Wolfgang Friedmann Prize from Columbia Law School and the Louis B. I downloaded this so that I could have a copy of Robert's Rules of Order in our school board meetings but it is practically useless. This is NOT the most recent 11th edition. It is the ninth and the contents, format, pages, etc. are completely different. So when you are in a meeting with that one snotty person that likes to quote Roberts and has the paperback edition, they will be able to find stuff faster than you AND they will say that their version rules because it is the most recent. Really puts you at a disadvantage to have this Kindle version.

Don't buy this version. Worst product I have ever bought from Amazon, and worst book I have ever bought anywhere. Looks like something produced by a kid and never proofed before printing. It does a disservice to a revered resource. Pretty cover, but you know what they say. I'll have to find another version somewhere.....

This book was not at all what I expected. From previous reviews, it appears that different versions of the book are available under the same heading. When I first opened the book, I thought the initial pages were errata for what followed but the entire book seemed to be some kind of annotation or perhaps abbreviation. This book does not have a table of contents or index, so trying to find something in the book is practically impossible. Unfortunately, I did not look at the book as soon as I got it nor did I need the reference within the first 30 days of ordering it so cannot return it. If you decide to order this book, be sure to look at it as soon as you get it so you can return it if you got the same version I did. I have learned my lesson and hope I can prevent someone else from making the same mistake. Now I will have to spend more money getting the right text but, this time I will go locally so I can be sure I am getting what I need. This one will go in the trash because that it all it is good for.

We bought this for our pastor to help him with an easy version of Roberts Rules of Order. It's a very nice condensed version of the basics you need to know to conduct a meeting. I liked it and will order another one for my husband. It's much better for a refresher course than than the big book. It tells everything you need to know in a short and precise format. Very handy.

Compared to my old copy (which was falling apart and had the corner chewed by a puppy), the new version is totally disorganized, the so called index is a mess and practically unreadable. It seems as if someone had the bright idea of "modernizing" it to make it more readable by attempting to clump like subjects together. Instead of moving in an organized systematic method all they did was make a mess.

I wanted the whole thing, the complete book, but this is the "pocket guide." If you look hard enough on the web page for this item, you will see that it is the "Pocket Manual of Rules of Order for Deliberative Assemblies." I didn't look hard enough before I bought it, but I should have figured the entire book wouldn't be available on Kindle for $0.99 when the paperback is $12. If it was the whole book for Kindle it would have been about $10! Fortunately, I figured it out before my 7 days were up and I was able to return it. Maybe you'll read this and save yourself the trouble.

This Kindle version of Robert's Rules of Order lacks a copyright page and an edition page necessary to authenticate it as the authoritative version for use at a meeting. Until these issues are corrected, purchase is a waste. Each edition brings changes and no one wants to stand up to argue a point only to have someone else observe aloud that you haven't bothered reading the most recent edition which changed the rule governing your argument or point. Save your money until the most recent edition is formatted for Kindle.

Anyone having responsibility to preside over meetings in a variety of settings should have a copy of this book. In it you will find the help and advice needed to prepare properly, and officiate properly. The result will be a well-run meeting that actually accomplishes something in a reasonable time. I give 5 stars also to the seller for fair price, fast delivery, and a book in very good used condition as advertised. Can't ask for much more. ps: It's also a good idea for meeting attendees to be familiar with Roberts Rules, so as to be enabled to offer corrections/suggestions when meetings begin to get out of control and "off-topic".

This book was so many things.... but basically it was fan-freaking-tastic! I swear Nico and Layla have one of the most drama filled stories! Its hard to talk about without spoilers... and I say this because I don't want to ruin the first 2 books for anyone who has not read them. After the end of the last book, I was very happy to see that they were together in this book. But them being together does not keep them from having issues. Them being together brought on a whole other set of hurdles for them to get over. I have been so drawn in to their story that I am so proud of them! I cried tears of pain when they went though sadness and pain. I cried tears of joy when they had cause to celebrate. And when they each passed another milestone I felt the pride as if they were my own family! I could not have asked for a better wrap up to Nico and Layla's story!Nicole has dragged me in more and more with each book she writes. I am not sure how she will do better, but I am quite excited to see what she comes up with next!

But the one thing that I have to say is, it was absolute perfection. Nicole French closed out the Bad Idea series in the best possible way with True North.I have so many emotions invested in Nico and Layla’s story and Nicole did not disappoint me in any way. She has such a way about her writing that the reader has no choice but to fall fully into the story. No matter what the characters are going through, whether good, bad, or ugly, the reader is always right there in the thick of it with them.Nico and Layla’s love story is real, raw, and beautiful in all its difficulties. That they finally have a genuine chance at happiness together after everything they have been through, and still have to face, filled me with joy.I am sad that Nico and Layla’s story has come to an end, but I loved every minute of their journey and I will never forget the epic-ness of this series.

Nico and Layla are two of my favorite couples ever. This story is amazing the angst and love is real for me. This was the perfect end to a series I will miss these two. Thank you for this book Nicole it was the best I have read this year.

What an amazing series. This is one of my favorite couples this year. Nico and Layla mean so much reading about their journey. I'm hoping this really isn't the end for them but even if it is, I'll cherish them like I really knew them. Their story will suck you in and make you feel like your experiencing everything with them. The writing of their story was that great. When I read Bad Idea, I didn't think I was going to like it as much as I did. I not only liked it, I loved it. So this Bad Idea series was the best idea ever! You'll experience all the highs and lows and fall in love. Highly recommend this series to everyone.

The final book in the bad idea series pulled everything together. The loved, laughed, cried, faced adversity, and lived their lives. Such a realistic love story of two people who should not have clicked but did in the very best ways. Their chemistry was off the charts but they also faced real world issues and conquered them together. Loved this series! Nicole French is a fantastic author!

WOW!!!! I seriously can't put into words how much I loved this trilogy! I'm left speechless. What a rollercoaster of emotions throughout these books, but one constant that is NEVER doubted, Nico and Layla's love for each other. These books were so incredibly, beautifully written!! I don't think I've read a book that expresses this much love between two people more than this author did in these books! I can't wait to read more from this author!

The storyline and the characters drew me in from the moment I started reading the 1st book. This trilogy was so well written, I may never open another contemporary romance book again. WOW...Just a phenomenal must read!!!

Out of all 3 Bad Idea books I think this True North was the best, I just love Nico and Layla they been through so much and still hung tough for each other, what a great ending for these two.

I was heartened to find HOLY MOLY CARRY ME among the finalists for the 2018 NBCC Award in poetry. I love how the speaker finds herself in conversation with the masses in places like the Dollar Store, Kroger, and Walmart. Meitner is a poet of witness but not of judgment. She is a mom, a traveler, a resistor, and a blesser who struggles to remain hopeful despite mass shootings, poverty, beheadings, executions, throat slashings, & racially charged graffiti, to name a few. Meitner's voice is reassuring, down-to-earth. It's like you're hanging out with her on one of her many long drives to and from her sons' schools. She keeps the reader's interest by taking us by the hand and showing us the United States we currently occupy, this "HolyMolyLand":"a place we all pass through (of violence, of revelation) with grand opening flags strung above fenced-in lots & railroad crossings."A land where"The security guards ask us to remove everything from our pockets--even lint."She is not offering solutions or panaceas for our apocalyptic times. Instead of reassurance, she offers how"The streets belong to no oneand everyone and are a guidefor motion ..."which I take to mean that we are all to be blamed or thanked for how history will look back on the 2nd decade of the 21st century. Yet, as much as Meitner is speaking for all of those who are outraged about the increasing gun violence and emboldened racist acts, Meitner's poetic gifts are most prominent when she's talking about herself - her own predicament of living in a college town and raising two sons, one of them more of a target:"More like I would invent a future where my black son will notget shot by police for playing in a park, or driving, or walking from hisbroken-down car."Dang, it's easy to procure a gun in West Virginia ("You need only be eighteen and / bring two forms of ID"), yet no state in our union has sufficiently stood up against the NRA and all those who believe in the right to bear arms.Meitner positions herself smack-dab in the middle of the firestorm, and yet she remains capable of being stopped in her tracks by the sound of wind chimes outside the Food Lion, by the notion that we could all be connected together by song:What ifthey trailed after us wherever we wentas though our actual steps on concreteor asphalt or linoleum generated song ...your cart my cart that beverageaisle: our trembling jittery refrain.It’s this do-si-do between the personal and the populace that kept this reader rapt.

This book was ok. I was curious to see how "real" couples saved money on "real" wedding. Do you want to know? They had friends help them out. Some had friends who let them use their yard, so they spent nothing on the venue. Another couple had a catering friend who significantly decreased the cost. If you don't have any friends in the "industry," this book won't help you save money.Otherwise, this book is like most other wedding planning books. Nothing I did not already know, after reading three other wedding planning books (my favorite was "The Wedding Planner & Organizer," by Mindy Weiss. It is a three ring binder and the dividers have pockets, so you can store wedding items in there and add pages when you need to. You can also take out the pages and make copies, so your final product is clean.

I purchased 2 copies of this book, one for my daughter and one for myself, along with a variety of other planning books. This one quickly became my daughter's favorite and so I started reading it first. I love the layout and how it goes from information about various aspects of the wedding day to personalized stories and pictures from those who celebrated the day under $10,000. I really appreciate how they share the "traditional" costs and then give alternative ideas plus tips and comments from real brides and grooms. I'm not sure this could suffice as the ONLY planner at this point, but it's more than worth it's price as an additional resource for sure.

This book was ok but many of the "budget friendly suggestions" depend on who you know and what access you have. For example one couple used their friends to photograph the wedding - well that's great but if you don't know anyone who takes professional quality photos that does you no good. Other examples included not having open bar and I just think you can find all of these suggestions online.

Needs more pictures! This book mentions a lot of couples who had special privileges from family or friends that are not available to the general public, such as a neighbor who was a caterer and gave them a deal or someone had a professionally done back yard and donated the use of it for the reception. This book needs more creative ways to save money.

This book was a wonderful resource and guide. Especially having had no idea where to begin and no budget for a wedding planner to assist me. It truly assisted my fiance and I in deciding what are priorities were and where the bulk of the budget would be spent. And though we did ultimately spend more than 10k, this book was a great tool in helping us identify what was important to us as a couple and what we could ultimately and comfortably live without.

I bought three books when I was planning for my wedding, this being one of them. It does have some useful tips and information however I wish I would have saved my money and only bought the other two (A Practical Wedding by Meg Keene and Bridal Bargains by Denise & Alan Fields).

I particularly like the listing of parts that are "traditional" and parts that you can "make shift" as I had no idea where to even start planning a wedding

I bought this book as a gift for my future sister in law, who is currently planning her wedding. On first glance some of the projects seemed like they would require special tools and equipment, but we haven't attempted any of them yet. Even with purchasing some extra stuff it still may be cost effective to do some of these things ourselves.
