I was so disappointed in this book! I bought it for my pre-school age daughter who is very into super heroes, especially Wonder Woman, Batgirl and Supergirl. The cover features Wonder Woman and Supergirl, with Batgirl on the back; however, Batgirl and Supergirl are not in ANY of the stories, only in the list of super heroes at the front of the book. Wonder Woman is only in one story. What gives? None of the male super heroes listed at the front are missing from the stories. DC has generally been doing a good job with their female super heroes lately, but not in this book. The cover is definitely false advertising.

My husband, myself, and my 2.5 year old son love this book! It's been the go-to every night at bedtime since he got it at Christmas. My husband commented on how he likes the way it's illustrated. I love the way it's written. The stories are interesting and detailed, which they often aren't in children's books. Plus, the wording and jokes remind me very much of the old Batman TV show and Saturday morning cartoons from my youth in general. In short, I haven't gotten tired of reading them yet which is great with a toddler! They also talk about friendship and helping each other a lot which is great... I want more of these stories by the same author and artists!Let me say too, I also have the 5min Marvel stories and I think these are better written and more interesting.

These stories are very simplistic, even for children's stories. They have very little tension, no character development, and do not reflect the source material well. All the heroes speak and act the same -- Batman's dialog is indistinguishable from Supergirl. I might write that off, except that the 5-minute Marvel stories did such a better job -- they are authentic renditions of the source material. These are pretty tiring, and my son did not like them as much.

Kids love the book. Stories are about all the superheroes together fighting various villains. This is not a book with a batman story, then a superman story, then a wonder woman or flash story. All the heroes are in every story working together. Great for young kids.

NO STORIES ABOUT FEMALE SUPERHEROES! I am so disappointed in this book. My toddler girl loves all things superheroes and I bought this book based on the cover showing a mix of male and female superheroes, but the stories inside are exclusively all male with the exception of Wonder Woman making a brief appearance in one single story as a sidekick. I want my daughter to read about BOTH men and women being superheroes together, but it seems like this just doesn’t exist. It’s extremely hard to even find action books about female superheroes and not just boring background stories providing their biographies.

These are awesome. My son (4) is obsessed and now goes to bed without any fuss. I just remind him of the story and he runs right up. We bought our 4th book last week.I’d love more stories about the female super heroes. My son is in love with Wonder Woman and I think Bat girl and supergirl would be fun books too.

The stories are not well written and can be a tough read. But it does entertain my 3 year old who is just looking for a superhero story.

My three and a half year old son loves this book! Age appropriate, fun pictures and much better than the Marvel one that he also has.

I.N.J’s illustrations are beautiful and welcome additions to his adaptations of these four stories. Definitely worth picking this up if you can spare the coin.

Charles Dexter Ward still sucks but the rest is amazing! Great adaptions, I loved some of the minor changes. Would love to see more.

Insight guides are a great resource but sometimes the information is out of date. It is hard to know when this was last updated since some references in it to 2012 or 1023.Shipping soft cover books in oversize bags is not good since the corners were bent.

Very informative from history of country to present day. Makes me want to spend more days here than what I will have the chance to do; going on to the Galapagos on Cruise which is also exciting.

Excellent guide. Information, maps, restaurants, hotels, tours, dangers, history, culture.....its all there. Beautiful pictures.

A really good, compact guide book.

A gift for a friend

I felt like I was reading an encyclopedia, not a travel guide. The app is worthless, nothing but ads. Photos dated.

Overall the book was great. Loved the pros and cons when rating the Hotels & Casinos. You gave a lot of information about the Grand Canyon. It almost seemed like you should devote a book to it. I understand that it would be almost impossible to cover everything, but other Hotels and Casinos outside of The Strip and Downtown Las Vegas deserve a little more space in your book as do some more of the off property restaurants. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a more in-dept look at Vegas the first or next time they travel to Sin City.

The book looked very informative but the font is tiny and hard to read. I'm going to order the Kindle version so that I can control the size of the font.

Great Book as a companion book to Las Vegas 2017

I was expecting a Fodor's guide to be beefy with information. The fact that this one is slim was a bit of a disappointment considering the company's reputation.

Did lots of things from the book. Especially liked hiking Mt.Charleston. Worth the money.

Great guide, very useful and practical info. Made our week in Las Vegas very delightful and helped us save lots of time.

Harold Hongju Koh is Sterling Professor of International Law, former Dean (2004-09) and co-founder of the Rule of Law Clinic at Yale Law School, where he has taught since 1985. He served as Legal Adviser, U.S. Department of State from 2009-13; Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor from 1998-2001; and Attorney-Adviser, Office of Legal Counsel, U.S. Department of Justice, from 1983-85. He has testified regularly before Congress and has argued at the U.S. Supreme Court, the International Court of Justice and many other domestic and international courts. He has received seventeen honorary degrees, more than thirty human rights awards, and the Wolfgang Friedmann Prize from Columbia Law School and the Louis B. Sohn Award from the American Bar Association's International Law Section for his lifetime achievements in international law.

I downloaded this so that I could have a copy of Robert's Rules of Order in our school board meetings but it is practically useless. This is NOT the most recent 11th edition. It is the ninth and the contents, format, pages, etc. are completely different. So when you are in a meeting with that one snotty person that likes to quote Roberts and has the paperback edition, they will be able to find stuff faster than you AND they will say that their version rules because it is the most recent. Really puts you at a disadvantage to have this Kindle version.

Don't buy this version. Worst product I have ever bought from Amazon, and worst book I have ever bought anywhere. Looks like something produced by a kid and never proofed before printing. It does a disservice to a revered resource. Pretty cover, but you know what they say. I'll have to find another version somewhere.....

This book was not at all what I expected. From previous reviews, it appears that different versions of the book are available under the same heading. When I first opened the book, I thought the initial pages were errata for what followed but the entire book seemed to be some kind of annotation or perhaps abbreviation. This book does not have a table of contents or index, so trying to find something in the book is practically impossible. Unfortunately, I did not look at the book as soon as I got it nor did I need the reference within the first 30 days of ordering it so cannot return it. If you decide to order this book, be sure to look at it as soon as you get it so you can return it if you got the same version I did. I have learned my lesson and hope I can prevent someone else from making the same mistake. Now I will have to spend more money getting the right text but, this time I will go locally so I can be sure I am getting what I need. This one will go in the trash because that it all it is good for.

We bought this for our pastor to help him with an easy version of Roberts Rules of Order. It's a very nice condensed version of the basics you need to know to conduct a meeting. I liked it and will order another one for my husband. It's much better for a refresher course than than the big book. It tells everything you need to know in a short and precise format. Very handy.

Compared to my old copy (which was falling apart and had the corner chewed by a puppy), the new version is totally disorganized, the so called index is a mess and practically unreadable. It seems as if someone had the bright idea of "modernizing" it to make it more readable by attempting to clump like subjects together. Instead of moving in an organized systematic method all they did was make a mess.

I wanted the whole thing, the complete book, but this is the "pocket guide." If you look hard enough on the web page for this item, you will see that it is the "Pocket Manual of Rules of Order for Deliberative Assemblies." I didn't look hard enough before I bought it, but I should have figured the entire book wouldn't be available on Kindle for $0.99 when the paperback is $12. If it was the whole book for Kindle it would have been about $10! Fortunately, I figured it out before my 7 days were up and I was able to return it. Maybe you'll read this and save yourself the trouble.

This Kindle version of Robert's Rules of Order lacks a copyright page and an edition page necessary to authenticate it as the authoritative version for use at a meeting. Until these issues are corrected, purchase is a waste. Each edition brings changes and no one wants to stand up to argue a point only to have someone else observe aloud that you haven't bothered reading the most recent edition which changed the rule governing your argument or point. Save your money until the most recent edition is formatted for Kindle.

Anyone having responsibility to preside over meetings in a variety of settings should have a copy of this book. In it you will find the help and advice needed to prepare properly, and officiate properly. The result will be a well-run meeting that actually accomplishes something in a reasonable time. I give 5 stars also to the seller for fair price, fast delivery, and a book in very good used condition as advertised. Can't ask for much more. ps: It's also a good idea for meeting attendees to be familiar with Roberts Rules, so as to be enabled to offer corrections/suggestions when meetings begin to get out of control and "off-topic".
