I enjoyed this coloring book very much. There were some houses that were sketched in a way that made them hard to color. It was like they were transparent so you are looking thru walls. But there weren't a lot like that.

Some designs are very difficult and some quite easy. All in all an Interesting book.

After her father was killed Greg and Mercy were forced to get married. What will become of their marriage and will they find gold? It was fun to meet some lovely characters from the Oregon Trails series at the end of the book.I really enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait for more books in this new series.

This is a fun book to read. Having read the Oregon Trail Series, I had wondered about Smitty especially. as he seemed so wise and friendly. He and Lynn, from the wagon train, started an orphanage type of ranch home. They intended on raising the children who had been orphaned along the trail but soon found others needing a place to live when they reached the wide west. Greg is one of the older children; now grown to age 17 and wanting the adventure of gold mining. There, he finds Mercy along with her Pa and the journey begins. This is a heartfelt story as gold is mined, problems are met and living situations are solved. This is a nice book that can be read by anyone.

I have read about all of Kathleen Ball's books and thoroughly enjoyed everyone of them, except this one. The story line was ok, but the story was just too innocent and cut and dry. I was a bit disappointed.

This wasn't my most favorite book ... but, it was good. She kept my interest. Have Read many of her books. She has a vivid imagination.It seems that most all her ladies come from very weird backgrounds and struggle to make their way with their man. They don't seem to think they are good enough.Mercy was no different. Greg was a darling man. Well, actually they really put themselves out on the limb. Trying to find their place in he world. Where do I belong?Where do they belong..... Read the book and find out. T was nice meeting up with Smutty and Lynn again. Lynn finally found her way for sure. Happy reading folks.

Good story with Greg and mercy. I was frustrated at first with them not being able to plan a life together, but they planned their mine . All ends well though and can’t wait to read about the next sibling.

I loved this story. Greg seeks to find gold but in stead finds Mercy a independent, tomboy gold miner. Their adventure is troubled with doubts and fear. These story is never a dull moment. Kathleen is a creative story teller and this story is proof of that. I highly recommend you read this story and the others in the series and all titles by Kathleen

I would recommend this book to all. Mining was a hard life. Macry papa knew she would need to be protected. They had a hard beginning you need to read it to find out how and if they survived it all.

Another awesome book ! I loved it. You are such a great author Kathleen . I just say Thank You so much for another great book for a raining weekend !! I am very thankful I had the opportunity to read this book! The content here is delivered in such a clear manner, with real life examples, the author's personal experiences, and with great humility and moments of humor. Eddie Capparucci has the capacity to break down the complexity of our human ways of thinking, reacting and responding with visual examples that enlighten, and personal examples from clients he's worked with as well as from his own journey. Admittedly, at first I thought that I would not connect with the content of the book because I do not feel that "shame" has been a struggle in my life. However, even though I may not have had shame issues, I gained such valuable insight into the power that our thoughts, especially our negative ones, have over our lives. Eddie does not have a "magic bullet" but believes strongly in the power of prayer, a Christian faith and talking with a professional, a pastor or trusted friend. This book would provide tremendous help for men, women and teens at any age or stage in life who has battled the endless mental shame battles.

This book really deals with the shame I've felt for years because of my addictions. It's a very real, gentle and freeing message. I've recommended this book to a friend that is also struggle with the shame of addiction. This book address the topic of shame in a way that I haven't seen in other similar types of material.It's really nice to see it available in paper back now instead of just the kindle addition. I'll being buying the paper back right now.

There are some good plans and insights in this book. It seems a lot more practical than the usual run of Christian self help books. Unfortunately, some are so traumatized by life and negative religious experiences the stumbling block will always be an inability to truly believe in a God who is all that concerned with our emptiness.

Mr. Capparucci writes as a Christian counselor who understands the clinical side of human behavior. He has the tools to understand, but he also has the heart to care for the child of God and their struggles. Those who are in relationship on any level with God can relate how we struggle with that. "Are you worried God has turned away, embarrassed by your actions? Does your shame label make you feel unloved? If so, you're far from alone." Capparucci's examples of those who struggle, help illustrate the pain we all feel. His own personal testimony is extremely effective in showing we all need to remove our self labels that God doesn't want for us. God sees the person we can and maybe will be. God always loves us, God is always good and wants what is good for us. I strongly recommend this very helpful book.

Eddie has been my counselor for over a year now. I can't recommend him or his book enough. I am recovering from a recent divorce and would not have made it out of my deep depression without his guidance. His principles from our sessions shine through in this book and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is struggling with any hardship or addiction. My depression lead to many shameful thoughts and actions, but constantly holding on to that guilt only made the habits worse. Any time I find myself falling back into the negative thought cycle I use Eddies methods to calm myself down and stop the recurring thoughts.

This is truly a work that is targeted to help people and comes from Eddies caring heart. He works hard to help us understand what is causing tensions, disruptions and unhapiness in our lives. It is really a good read for everyone but especially those who are dealing with issues in their life. Everyone who reads the book will sooner or later recognize themselves in some of the descriptions. Eddie is a very busy Christian counselor and provides many faith based solutions. Buy this book and take time to read it slowly and think about the words, understand the examples and work towards the reccomended solutions. You will not be dissapointed.

This book is absolutely fantastic! It is a treasure trove of photos and remembrances and an amazing tribute to this great actress! From her early childhood and days as a child star, through her years as an ingenue and leading lady, to her life as wife and mother, this richly illustrated book touches on virtually every aspect of her life. Especially touching are the segments contributed by her family: a foreword by her husband Robert Wagner, a beautiful essay penned by daughter Natasha Gregson Wagner, and the personal photos and captions contributed by daughter Courtney Wagner. This is the wonderful tribute to Natalie Wood's life that diehard fans, such as myself, have been waiting for. Honestly, 5 stars are not enough to describe how marvelous this book is!!! Highly recommended!!!

Breathtaking and essential for Natalie Wood fans. Section after section of never before seen photos and well researched text. My favorite period of Natalie's is her child star stage and there is a whopping 15 page essay just about those years including an incredible scrapbook with all kinds of goodies (report card, telegrams, personal photos, magazine covers etc.) In a life as full as hers the childhood years often get the shrift in other books so it was an extra special treat to read the essay 'Becoming Natalie' by Sloan DeForest. I learned an incredible amount about her early years in Hollywood and the road that led her to superstardom. Also of note is an interview section with photographer, Michael Childers who seems to give uncensored insight into Natalie. At one point he says "There weren't enough therapists in Beverly Hills to deal with all of her demons!" This definitely does not sound like the family whitewashed Natalie for this book. Natalie herself talks about her relationship with Warren Beatty. Her daughter Natasha talks about her mother's funeral. Her other daughter Courtney narrates a family album revealing a different side to Natalie I had not thought about before. She seems to invested herself into mothering as much as she did her career. Robert Redford's contribution is a short piece detailing how he came to know Natalie in high school. All her major films are covered. I believe there is at least one photo for every single one. A difficult task as a lot of the childhood films are hard to find and rarely play on TV. ***** stars!!!

What an exquisitely detailed biography and pictorial history of one of our most beautiful, cherished stars. From the stunning imagine of Natalie on the front jacket cover, the sweet images of her beloved butterflies on the front and back inside end papers and the behind-the-scenes image on the back cover – it’s just a delight for the senses. It’s so fortunate that Natalie saved almost every single clipping and memory. I don’t know if she ever put together her own proper scrapbook of her life, but she would be overwhelmed with this one – it is gorgeous.It was interesting to read how it all started - with a movie production coming to her sleepy little home town when she was only five years old and her showing up (with her mother) for a chance for a part in the film. The director spotted her in the crowd. A star was born.One of my favorite films of hers is WEST SIDE STORY. I’ve watched the scene “Dance at the Gym” a million times. When the world blurs away into the background and it is just Maria and Tony dancing – it takes your breath away. Matt Tunia’s details and background information about the making of this film were fascinating and brought it all to life for me.She was so full of life. I love photographer Michael Childers’ quote, “When Natalie walked in a room, it changed color.” You can really feel that as you turn the pages of this stunning and loving tribute to her.

Much like Christina Crawford’s book Mommie Dearest had overshadowed and upended the legacy of Joan Crawford’s life and career, Wood’s life and death were tarnished by seemingly endless tabloid speculation. Crawford’s reputation has gradually recovered and her screen work is being reevaluated, as it should be. Now, the time has come for Natalie Wood to be remembered and her life and career reevaluated. Manoah Bowman’s thoughtful book does just that. His book reclaims her legacy to make Natalie Wood once again a human being and secondly a tribute a great star.This book is a very personal project, it is a unique project because Bowman had at his fingertips Natalie Wood’s personal papers, her vast archive that was maintained from day one of her film career. Just seems to be a book of classical sheet music arranged to be in melodica range, sorted by composer. I wish I could be in order of “Reccomened”, like having the easier songs first, but the book is fine the way it is. Also wish the book the spiral bound or something instead, it would be easier to keep open.

It's really helpful for a beginner, it comes with clear instructions in the opening of the booklet and teaches more of the sheet music language before letting the student move on to the actual music pieces.

This book of Classical music is going to be perfect for my beginner students. Thank you. It's beautiful, love the sketches in it.

It will teach you very simplified songs since it is for beginners so it does what it offers. They are almost to easy. Also there are some very interesting depictions of the composer in the book that take up a full page each.

A book of easy to play pieces for the young and developing cellist with works containing first position and extensions.

This is a great book

Good collection of familiar classical melodies arranged for bass instruments.

One of our forum members at DogProblems.com mentioned that her dog was digging in the garden. When we started chatting a bit, she began telling me how much she enjoyed gardening. It sounded like a fun thing to do, and the idea of growing our own organic food had a lot of appeal to me.Knowing next-to-nothing about gardening, I asked her which book I should start with?She recommended "Grow The Good Life" ...and I'm glad she did. The book provides a philosophical "push" to get you out of the armchair and growing your own food. It's written in something of a first person narrative.Lots of fun. Highly enjoyable. As I write, I've got two containers of organic spinach, cilantro and basil pushing up soil, in the yard. Mmmmmmm.

I grow a large vegetable garden and I was hoping for more tips on what the author does to grow her food, but I didn't get that so I was a bit disappointed. I donated it to the library. The author has a nice writing style and it was enjoyable to read, but it was really basic things about soil and such- which you will read in ANY garden book. I am always looking for books on people who grow all or most of their food, hoping to find gold nuggets about planning and rotation schedules to have "enough" food.

It reads easily and fast, and although it is obvious that it was well researched, the author is careful to be light-handed with scientific and historical information which is smartly sprinkled throughout the book. It is mostly a very practical and anecdotal book. I have marked some pages, and made a list of useful information on the back page for later use. I share many of Michele Owens's ideas: soil is not dirty, don't be afraid of it; pick a bean or a carrot and eat it right there without washing it; garden on the front lawn (I tried to convince my husband in the past, but I haven't been successful yet); gardens are most beautiful in the Fall...etc...but what struck me most was the warmth with which Michele talks about her friends (some of whom are mine as well since I also live in Washington County). It was touching to read the enthusiasm that Michele uses for friends and for gardens alike. And somehow, that makes perfect sense to me. Doesn't friendship need cultivating, constant care, and regular dinner invitations (we feed our friends as we feed our plants). I loved hearing Michele's voice throughout the book. It is genuine and authentic. And her enthusiasm is catching. One can't ask too much more than that from a book. I can't wait for Spring to reach for my shovel and start digging.

Part how-to guide, part memoir, and part philosophy, this book imparts an excellent combination of practical information, entertaining anecdotes, and inspirational motivation. I finished reading it a few weeks ago and I keep staring longingly out my kitchen window just waiting for the day when I can start planting my vegetables.Other reviewers have commented that the author tries to push a political agenda with this book. I disagree. The only agenda in this book is to get people to grow food in their backyards. It encourages a respect for nature and a return to a slower, simpler life in this crazy high-tech, super fast-paced world we live in. There's nothing partisan about it. That said, the book does have some science in it - so if you don't believe in evolution or you think global warming is a conspiracy, this one's not for you.

Mrs. Owens obviously enjoys her garden and does give some great advice and information regarding gardening. However, it does not give a lot of advice on when or what to plant, or specific how-to's. Still, I found the book fascinating, well-written and full of great view points that I had not considered before. Went a long way to convincing me put in a bigger veggie garden this year, and I would recommend it to anyway who is considering gardening. Great book for the undecided.

Michele Owens will put redemptive dirt-filled wrinkles in your backyard soul. Her writing is nurturing philosophy and spirit that makes you wish to start immediately getting down and dirty with such partners as compost, worms, water, sunlight and veggie/flower dreams. Gardens of Eden need workers and visionaries. Ms. Owens will equip you with all the motivation and practicality you require to get out and cultivate that spot in your corner of Paradise. What are you waiting for?! Get reading, get dirty, nurture your garden soul.

Really great book, super infomative. Though not a how-to on gardening, it's definitely a compelling read as to why you SHOULD garden!

Not just a book about gardening. This is a love song for gardens and gardeners and every thing that joins them.
