But you need to want to be positive. Life is hard and I can see how some of us may not want to get over a passive negativepessimistic state.

This book is short enough and straight forward, so I would recommend reading the book first and then rereading it and practice the exercises that it describes. One exercise I tried was I attempted to challenge my own core beliefs. I have chronic pain and I have often asked myself why am I suffering from this pain, but I was too afraid to discover the answer. When I allowed myself to answer I was shocked by the results. Highly recommend this book.
