As an intercountry adoptive mother I think Tara needs to look at other countries orphanages before being so black and white about her opinions. However I do think what she is doing for Cambodia is great.
This was a good read and quite an eye opener. Things that may look good and worthwhile on first appearance arenot always as they appear as this book reveals so clearly.
Really good true story, a very brave young women. and what an outcome for those children and their families.
A book full of love and real solutions to end the problem of orphanages in poverty stricken countries. Want to know how to really help a child in an orphanage; read this book.
Important and easy to read account of what at risk children really need. Honest and inspiring. An enjoyable and educational book.
Sweet, eye opening book!
Nothing I say could even begin to do this book justice. Winkler is brave, she is humble, and she is an absolute inspiration for a multitude of reasons (despite her genuine protests to the opposite).
