This was an amazing read!! I was hooked right from the beginning. Lots of twists and turns! Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.I would recommend this book to anyone who loves vampires/ angels, everything. Even if you don’t you will after reading this book I guarantee!!
I really enjoyed this book. Rosemary Johns put this book together for an amazing read.Violet is losing everything her world is turned upside down.She has an evil mom. Who is hell bent into destroying everything.I couldn't put this book down. It's an incredible rollercoaster ride.
I was reading this book utterly confused at times, just like most of the humans pawns in the story. There were countless plot twists ... liking a character, then learning he was bad, then learning he was really good, and then starting all over again. As I read, I kept thinking, “I’m going to need to read this book over again.†There were several different kinds each of vampires and angels, and lots of epic battles. I couldn’t wait to get to the end to finally discover the shining hero, all questions answered. Wrong! Huge cliffhanger! I did appreciate the unique characters and the imagination to create their universe.
I was not able to finish this book, I stopped at 30 percent when it took a sick turn. I have to say I don't know if it's because I am not up on the slang used in this book or if it was just poor descriptions but I didn't know what was going on thru most of that 30 percent. I love paranormal romance and I love for it to be intense and sexy but I had to stop when the sick adoptive mom and dad were molesting the angel. I don't read stuff like that. I read a ton of reviews and not one said anything about that type of stuff and the only bad review I read didn't mention it either. I couldn't read past that and even putting that major deal breaker aside I was not sure I was even reading the right book that whole time. I even checked to make sure once because the 30 percent I read barely followed the plot description and reviews I read. This book was definitely not for me, if that type of thing doesn't bother you then I will say of what I could understand it did seem interesting so that's why I gave it 2 stars.
The book was okay, but the writing was very choppy and left large unexplained gaps in the story. With a decent editor, it has the potential to become a great read. It's just too difficult to figure out and keep up with what is going on from moment to moment.
This story was okay but I didn’t really like the characters and the English wording and slang was a bit irritating.
I personally LOVE indie writers and pride myself in the fact that most of my favorite authors have started out in the indie genre whom have later built themselves a book series that ends on Best Seller’s lists. I have no doubt that Rosemary A. Johns is on her way to become just that. The book is centered in London. What I was not expecting is the British Slang which, I have to admit took some getting used to, however, I found it refreshing. It was like being submerged into a new culture that I am unaccustomed to. Honestly, I was hooked, line and sinker. This is a book that I wasn’t sure I would like but then I turned the first page, then the next and then the following. From there I could not put the book down. I finished it within 24 hours and my only regret is that I did not wait to savor it. The ending came way too soon and not due to the book being short. I cannot wait to read more of Rosemary’s book, super excited!
